The top edge slots are designed to suit compatible Upper Cut Co. cooking accessories, including BBQ plates and grills. Always check that any accessories are fitted correctly before use. Cooking accessories are sold separately unless otherwise stated.
The FlatMate Fire Pit is made from mild steel and will naturally change colour, mark and develop surface rust over time when exposed to heat, moisture and outdoor conditions. This is normal and gives each fire pit its own rugged character.
To help extend the life of your fire pit:
- Store it dry when not in use
- Clean out ash once completely cool
- Avoid leaving it sitting in water
- Dry the fire pit before packing away
- Store undercover where possible
- Handle with gloves, as steel edges and surfaces may be sharp or rough
Surface rust does not usually affect normal use, but long-term exposure to moisture may shorten the lifespan of the product.
Safety Guidelines:
- Always use the fire pit on a safe, level and fire-resistant surface
- Do not use directly on timber decking, dry grass, artificial turf or any surface that may be damaged by heat
